Applications
Low smoke zero halogen (LSZH, LSOH, LS0H, LSFH and OHLS) is a material classification for wire sheathing in the wire and cable industry. Low smoke zero halogen wire sheathing is composed of thermoplastic or thermosetting materials that have low smoke emission when subjected to heat and do not contain halogen themselves. Compared to traditional PVC and PE cable, low smoke and halogen free materials do not release hydrogen halide or other acids when they catch fire, reducing the amount of toxic and corrosive gases produced when they burn.
